We Use Uncoated Paper For Our Gift Wrap Designs - Here's Why

Uncoated paper is durable and resilient, making it perfect for our adult, children's and Christmas wrapping paper, intended for creating gifts with a touch of luxury.

Coated paper is used for mass produced gift wrap because designs can be printed on thin paper and finished with a glossy coating giving the impression of quality. This coating doesn't add any strength to the paper and once you start trying to wrap with it, the paper will tear.

Not only is uncoated paper perfect for gift wrapping, it's also an inspired way to reduce the impact wrapping paper has on our environment. Coated paper takes more energy to recycle than uncoated paper, as recycling depots must wash the coating from the paper before it can be recycled. Uncoated paper can also be composted - coated paper cannot.

And with the conscious consumerism movement booming, we know there's a growing appetite for clear information about how our lifestyles impact on people, communities and the planet.
